How to get to the Roanoke Amtrak platform:

Located at 55 Norfolk Avenue SW, Roanoke, VA 24011

It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes prior to boarding. Please note that this platform does not have an enclosed waiting area or restrooms. The platform is ADA accessible.

Parking Information

Amtrak offers thru-bus service via the Smart Way Commuter Service. The cost is $4 cash at the bus, or thru-bus travel can be booked at Amtrak.com in conjunction with the train ticket – just enter Blacksburg as your starting location or destination. In Roanoke, the bus stop is located at the intersection of Norfolk and Jefferson Streets. The Smart Way picks up at the Squires Student Center on the Campus of Virginia Tech, with stops at the two park and ride lots along Interstate 81 at exits 118B and 140, and dropping off at the stop near the Roanoke platform.
